Hampshire Deaf Association offers a range of services and support for the deaf, deafened and hard of hearing. Hampshire Deaf Association has chosen Avalon Bookings Manager to manage the bookings and customer invoicing for provision of Interpreter Services. H.D.A. has over 30 Interpreters who provide a wide range of Interpreter Services to those with impaired hearing, for example when making hospital visits and other such situations. Avalon Bookings Manager is now being used to mange the bookings diary for the Interpreters throughout Hampshire and The Isle of Wight. During the review of the customer’s requirements we identified one or two key areas that could not be met from the standard bookings software program. H.D.A. decided that the in most respects, Bookings Manager met their needs well, so commissioned us to make some bespoke enhancements in order that the program can meet all their key requirements. H.D.A have used Sage Accounting software for some time. A key factor in their decision is that Avalon Bookings Manager has a link module which enables invoices generated in the program can be passed electronically into Sage accounts. This will help save them considerable administrative time. Liz Jones, who is a Director at H.D.A. had experience of Avalon Bookings Manager at her previous employer, who are a company that provide specialist holiday accommodation for disabled people.
